For the past 6 years, I have held the esteemed position of Chairperson for Reach Out Speak Out’s Board of Directors. As my time in this role comes to a close, I am excited to welcome our new Chair, Beth Simpson.
Beth has been a dedicated member of Reach Out Speak Out for many years, serving as both our secretary and spearheading our successful gift card fundraising program – a program you will undoubtedly hear more about soon.
Although I will be stepping down from my current position, I look forward to continuing my involvement with Reach Out Speak Out in a different capacity. It has been an incredible honor and pleasure to represent our non-profit organization. I must give thanks to our co-founders, Jan Porter and Paul Porter, for their unwavering guidance, support, and encouragement throughout my over 10 years of involvement with Reach Out Speak Out.
As a survivor of domestic violence myself, being a part of this organization has given me purpose and meaning. In the words of a wise pastor, “When you find your passion, it gives purpose to your pain.” This sentiment rings true in my own personal journey. I am committed to continuing my work with Reach Out Speak Out for the foreseeable future in a different role.
To all those who have supported me during my tenure as Chairperson, I am grateful beyond words. I pray that God continues to bless Reach Out Speak Out and our mission. This is not a goodbye, but rather a see you soon as I continue to dedicate myself wholeheartedly to this important cause. Thank you.
