In January of 2023 I left my husband of almost 40 years.
When I left my house that day I had no idea that I would never sleep under that roof again.
There are many reasons why my marriage failed, too many to share here. My scars are not the physical but emotional. Years of silence and neglect, financial instability and anger had taken a toll on me.
All of our children endured the same treatment. However, our oldest son carried the brunt of the mistreatment. He has learning disabilities and he endured harsh treatment and ridicule from his dad his whole life.
