As you may have heard, October is domestic violence awareness month. This first blog of October will be about our 9th annual Purple Passion Silent Auction. You may be following Reach Out Speak Out on social media or seen our press releases or maybe you have received a letter or post card asking us for help.
Purple Passion silent auction is our biggest fundraiser and the number of monies that we raise on Sunday, October 6, 2024, will determine how many families we can help rescue from the hideous act of domestic violence. Yes, we have a waiting list.
We began this non-profit in 2013 and actually became official in 2014. Domestic violence is not going away. And unfortunately, the numbers are getting worse. When we began it was every four women have been in a domestic violence situation. Now it is everythree women can be said to be in some type of domestic violence.
My plea is to ask you for a donation to Reach Out Speak Out.
We would love to see you at our silent auction on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 2 PM to 3:30 PM. We have items as low as $10 and exciting once in a lifetime experiences over $1,000. It is located in Tampa Palms at the New Identities Hair Studio 15307 Amberly Drive, 33647 off Bruce B Downs. Many gift certificates and gift baskets. Over 100 items will be available.
